Snowbells

It is not the ear that hears the sweetness
of music, but the soul.
Jeremy Taylor

Snowbells, Snowbells,
Ringing 'cross a thousand hills,
Ringing out the brown and in the green.
Wave goodbye to winter's dreary scene.

Snowbells, what say you?
"Listen now; you know it's true
Winter's gone the birds are singing;
Everywhere you look—it's springing."

Snowbells, snowbells
Ringing, chiming, show-bells,
Blooming beside the pasture gate
Calling us now— let's celebrate!

  1. Such delicate and gorgeous announcers of spring! Love your "Ringing, chiming, show-bells" line, too, Elece.
