I love a street made of bricks. A cobblestone street has a draw too, but isn't as smooth to walk across. I love how every brick was man made and is different and I love the colors of bricks like pottery clay and like the earth.

A rural mailbox says something 

about the landowner. 

My guess is that the farmer/rancher chose 

the mailbox design and built it himself,

 while the wife chose the gate.
